The Western Boone girls golf team earned another decisive win Thursday evening, defeating Southmont 166–204. The Stars’ 166 was just six strokes shy of the school record, marking one of the best team performances in program history. Ally Lewis led the way with a 35, followed closely by Jada Scott with a 38. Ila Stokes carded a 46, while Lexi Gregg and Jaylee Dickerson rounded out the scoring with 47 and 50, respectively. JV play was highlighted by Rylee Pelley with a 48. Isabelle Sturgis shot a 54, Isabella Fettig 53, Jordan Stirling shooting 59, Mady Monks 64, and Caydence Paris 67. Head coach Katie Pilkington praised her team not only for their scores but also for their composure. “The girls represented Webo with integrity and class,” she said. “They focused on their game and handled themselves well, which makes me even more proud than the score.” The Stars are back in action Tuesday night at Twin Bridges.
