The boys and girls swim teams travelled to North Putnam Monday evening for some tough competitions. The girls started their evening with a 1st place finish in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Adalyn Sartin, Janie Ransom, Claire Torp, and Kate Higer. Evie Maurath took 2nd place in the 200 Free with a new Personal Record (2:31.41), and in the 50 Free Kyndal Dickerson took 3rd with a new Personal Record (29.13) and Kate Higer got 3rd (33.08). Claire Torp swam hard for 1st place in the 100 Butterfly (1:35.45), and in the 100 Breaststroke Eisley Whitely took 2nd with a new Personal Record (1:27.20), Claire Torp finished 3rd with a new Personal Record (1:40.93), and Janie Ransom got 4th with a new Personal Record (1:46.55), The girls team fought hard and finished the evening winning 85 to 79 over North Putnam. The boys came out in full force finishing 1st place in the 200 Medley Relay with the team of Jacob Norman, Jude Balke, Ethan Barnett, and Isaac Threlkeld. Jacob Norman took 1st place in in the 200 Free (2:05.24) and 1st place in the 100 Backstroke (1:03.63). Alex Crockett swam strong for 1st place in the 200 IM (2:39.10) and 2nd place in the 500 Free (6:06.22), and Xander Rouse won 1st place for the 4th meet in a row in Diving with a score of 172.40. In the 100 Butterfly the boys swept 1st (Isaac Threlkeld), 2nd (Ethan Barnett), and 3rd (Malachi Catterson) places. Jonathan Rutherford took 3rd place in the 100 Free and Brayden Schick got 4th place and a new Personal Best time (1:04.39). The team of Jude Balke, Ethan Barnett, Zach Connors, and Chase Collier cooked the competition in the 200 Free Relay with an exciting 1st place finish with the Stars out-touching North Putnam by 0.14 seconds. The boys team finished with a win over North Putnam with a final score of 101 to 72. The Stars compete again January 16th in Sagamore Conference Prelims.
