The Western Boone volleyball team had no margin for error if they want to earn a share of the Sagamore Conference title. So they knew the importance of this week, where they had three of their final four conference matches. And while it wasn't always pretty, they got the job done on Thursday night at North Montgomery, finishing off a 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-9, 25-21). After taking care of business in the first two sets, the Stars struggled in the third, and found themselves down as many as five late before a late rally won the set. The win improved the Stars to 19-4 on the season and 5-1 in the Sagamore. Raegan Durbin finished with 23 kills, eight digs and two blocks. Sadie Poeck had 12 kills, five digs, five aces and two blocks. Emmerson Gott had four kills and three blocks. Janie Ransom had 43 assists and nine digs. Olivia Smith had 10 digs and Izzy Adams had seven digs and three aces. The Stars face Tri-West next week. Will Willems is the Sports Editor of the Lebanon Reporter.
