Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Junior High Cross Country team traveled to Clinton Central for their last regular season meet to compete against the Bulldogs and the Lebanon Tigers. The girls team finished second overall with Joan Gearheart taking first place in a time of 12:30, Claire Torp finished 10th and was the only Star runner on the night to achieve a personal best time of 15:46. Jaili Torp finished 14th in 18:36 followed closely by Autumn Palmer (15th) in 18:39 and Destiny Stover finished 16th in 20:01. In the boys race Brennton Palmer led the team with a 6th place finish in 15:20 followed by Kole Nelson (7th) in 16:51 and Caleb Crockett (8th) in 17:07. Rex Stanley finished 11th in 18:18. Having 6 races in less than 3 weeks has taken a toll on this team but they will have a week to focus on their Conference meet in Lebanon next Thursday. Good luck Stars!
