The boys golf team competed in another large field at the Mountie Invite on Saturday. The Stars battled another chilly, windy morning to continue their trend of improvement in each competition. The Stars posted a new team best score of 388, while four of the five golfers turned in season or personal bests. Jaice Butler led the Stars with a 93. Making the biggest jumps in their scores were Maddex Gadbury (98) and Ben Fortner (102), who reduced their scores from last week by seven strokes each. Luke Lagrange's 99 was also an improvement over his first 18-hole score posted the week before. Despite the overall positive day and continued improvement, the Stars are embracing a theme of finding ways to continue to better their game and approach with each new match. The Stars will face Sheridan and hosting Clinton Prairie at Deer Track tonight in a three-way match.
