The Western Boone swimming and diving team faced the Danville Warriors at home on Monday night. The girls came out with a win against the Warriors with a score of 97-83. The boys fell to Danville 118-61. The medley relay team of Jenna Twitty, Micah Hole, Hannah Hayden, and Kaitlyn Crowley led the meet for the girls with a second-place finish. Samantha Jones and Crowley followed with a 1-2 finish respectively in the 200 freestyle; Rebecca Rustin finished fifth. Arianna Stieber earned a win in the 200 IM, followed by Hayden in third and Annabelle Mickschl in fifth. Adelaide Jones won the 50 freestyle; Lily Talbott and Adalyn Sartin also placed fourth and fifth respectively. Cara Hanna finished in second place for the diving event. In the 100 butterfly, Hayden and Twitty earned second and third place in a close race, followed by Mickschl in sixth place. A. Jones and S. Jones earned a 1-2 finish in the 100 freestyle; Hole also placed fourth. Stieber and Crowley teamed up in the 500 freestyle for another 1-2 finish for the Stars. The 200 freestyle relay team of A. Jones, Hayden, S. Jones, and Steiber picked up another win. Twitty and Sartin finished in second and fifth place in the 100 backstroke. In the 100 breaststroke, Hole placed second, Talbott finished fourth, and Rustin finished in fifth place. Ending the meet with a win was the 400 freestyle relay team of S. Jones, Crowley, Stieber, and A. Jones. The boys medley relay team of Jacob Norman, Jude Balke, Isaac Threlkeld, and Chase Collier started the meet with a second-place finish. Norman followed with another second-place finish in the 200 freestyle; Wyatt Barnett and Henry Biggs also placed fourth and sixth respectively. In the 200 IM, Balke, Malachi Catterson, and Alex Crockett finished in third, fourth, and fifth respectively. Threlkeld picked up the first win for the Stars in the 50 freestyle; Sam Hillger and Isaac Garringer finished fourth and sixth. Catterson placed fourth in the 100 butterfly. Threlkeld earned a second individual win for the night in the 100 freestyle; Ethan Barnett and Garringer placed fourth and sixth. W. Barnett, Collier, and Biggs finished fourth, fifth, and sixth in the 500 freestyle. The 200 freestyle relay team of E. Barnett, Balke, W. Barnett, and Collier earned second place. In the 100 backstroke, Norman and E. Barnett finished in second and third places, followed by Artie Milliser in fifth. Balke and Crockett placed second and fourth in the 100 breaststroke. The 400 freestyle relay team of Norman, Collier, W. Barnett, and Threlkeld ended the meet with a second place finish.
