Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Lady Stars tied 1-1 in their game against North Montgomery. In the first half, the Stars held the other team 0-1, with a very strong defensive performance. In the second half, the team did better at connected passes and Ava Orr was able to put a ball in the back of the net to tie the game. They are continuing to improve as the season goes on. The Western Boone junior high boys soccer team fell to North Montgomery last evening by a score of 2-9. The Stars made some adjustments due to the Chargers speed and ended up settling in. Scoring for the Stars was Deegan Henry and Benson DeVol (off of a Hernan Trincado pass). Coach Jason Lester commented, "The boys showed a lot of heart and worked hard while trying out new positions." Western Boone played 4 different goalies in the game: Ben Twitty, Andres Morales, Alex Thompson and Nolan Caldwell. All four made saves. The boys did a great job working hard and never giving up until the game was over. The Stars play at home on Thursday when they will face Crawfordsville.
