The 7th Grade Stars hosted their final home game of the 2025 season when they welcomed MAC opponent the Southmont Mounties. The offense took the ball and drove down the field culminating in a Bryson Potter to Carter Crahen TD pass. From there, the Stars Defense then took over… The Stars Defensive front of Nate Muir, Cannon Dunk, Elijah Pastore, Wyatt Redman, and Spencer Worrell wreaked havoc in the Mounties backfield. They dominated up front in which lead to multiple sacks and multiple forced fumbles. Pastore had a fumble recovery and Dunk had a strip sack in which he returned it for a Touchdown. In addition to Crahen’s receiving TD and Dunk’s defensive TD, Gage Miller had 2 rushing TDs, Austin Harlow had a rushing TD, Gunner Shirley had a rushing TD and Elijah Pastore and Blake Stokes added 2 point conversion receptions. The Oline of Redman, Worrell, Corbin Eckert, Easton Banks, Levi Nelson, and Pastore kept opening running lanes for Potter and the running backs. The final score was 42-0. The Western Boone 8th grade football team played their final home game of the season on Tuesday, hosting the visiting Southmont Mounties. The Stars would be victorious in a 30-0 result, playing their most methodical and complete game since week one. Not gaining a running clock until the fourth quarter, it was a great night for the Stars who won the game with sustained drives, winning time of possession and making the key stops on defense that would end any legitimate scoring chances from the visitors. The Stars took a 14-0 lead in the first half, led by a rushing score from Lukas Harrison (Jackson Potter conversion) and passing touchdown from Ryder Devol to Potter. The Stars added second half scoring from Devol, on a one-yard rush, and long rushing touchdown from Connor Palmer (conversions for each score were by Blake Warmoth, receiving, and Potter rushing). Defensively, the Stars once again collectively controlled the line of scrimmage, not allowing space for the Mountie offense to operate. The secondary denied any success through the air, while the front seven delivered several physical hits throughout the game. The Stars were able to make a stand on the Mounties lone trip to the red zone in the fourth quarter, and Drake Wagner nearly returned a fumble the length of the field on the unit's final play of the game. The Stars conclude the 2025 campaign as they travel next Thursday (10/9) to battle the North Putnam Cougars. Kick off is set for 6:00 pm.
