7th Grade Stars defeat Blackhawks in 2 sets

The 7th Grade Stars dominated the court last night with a commanding victory over Sheridan, winning in just two sets: 25-7 and 25-9. With players stepping into new roles and rising to the challenge, the team showed incredible teamwork, energy, and execution from start to finish. Players of the Game: Quinn Cunningham With middle hitter Eliza Baird out due to injury, Quinn stepped into the middle and absolutely delivered. Playing with confidence and determination, she racked up 5 kills and finished the game strong with 4 aces, scoring the final points for the Stars. Way to rise to the occasion, Quinn! Emery Clements Emery has shifted between passing and hitting in recent games, but last night she made a clear statement—she’s a force at the net! Her aggressive play and great coverage helped her earn 2 kills and 2 aces, making key contributions in big moments. Keep shining, Emery! Kenzie Mikesell Kenzie continues to thrive in the back row. Her defensive coverage and ability to read the ball were unmatched last night, preventing several would-be points for Sheridan. Her energy, hustle, and growing confidence are making a major impact. Fantastic work, Kenzie! Team Highlights: Sullie Smith led the offense with 4 assists, helping set the tone as the Stars gear up for their weekend tournament. Corah Edwards followed closely with 3 assists, keeping the momentum alive. Bristol Demaree made a smooth transition from setting to defense, proving her versatility and team-first mentality. Brooklyn Tatman and Lexi Wilt added to the serving success with solid streaks of their own, joining Sullie and Quinn in racking up aces. This game was a testament to the Stars' growth, resilience, and team chemistry. With each match, they continue to develop into stronger, smarter, and more confident athletes.
