The 8th grade volleyball team came out strong against North Montgomery, winning in two sets, 25-11 and 25-13. Harper finished the first set with a 5-point serving run and finished the night with 4 aces. Nicley was a key contributor at the net and behind the line with 3 aces and 4 kills, while Ella directed the offense with 12 assists along with 1 ace and 1 block. The girls used their energy and teamwork to get momentum early. At the net, several players stepped up to keep the Chargers on their heels. Blaize and Molly both added 3 kills, with Molly also recording a block. Kaity had 2 kills and a block of her own, and Zoie gave the offense a boost with 2 aces and a kill. The Stars’ defense stayed sharp to keep rallies alive. Mae had the highlight of the second set with a 9-point serving run. The team’s success was fueled by strong serve receive, and good offense throughout both sets. Their ability to play together allowed them to control the tempo and keep pressure on North Montgomery. With consistent serving and a strong all-around performance, the girls came out on top and added another win to their season.
