Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The High School Cross Country team competed at North Montgomery High School Thursday evening in the Charger Classic. Aiden Lester lead the Stars and finished in 6th place, followed by Brennan Bivens in 10th, Brayden Schick in 19th, Alex Crockett in 24th, Owen Young in 29th, Rex Stanley with a new personal record in 20:55 in 37th place, Eli Bishop in 46th, Kole Nelson in 53rd with a season best time of 22:41, Caleb Crockett in 61st, Andres Morales in 65th, and Izaak Harsin in 71st. There were 85 total runners. The boys team celebrated a 2nd place finish out of 8 teams in all. In the girls race Charlotte Stucky won 3rd place, followed by Joan Gearheart in 10th, Abigayle Humphrey in 12th, Kate Higer in 15th, Janelle Gearheart in 17th, Harmony Gilbrech in 21st, Katrina Brewer in 40th, Adalyn Sartin in 42nd, and Britney Richwine in 46th out of 55 runners. The girls team came home with a 2nd place finish, missing 1st place by only 9 points. The Stars will compete again this Saturday at Ben Davis.
