Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Jr. High girls soccer team has had a busy week, facing two tough opponents. On Wednesday l, the Stars hosted Frankfort and lost by a score of 7-3. 6th grader Tania Cruz- Vazquez scored all 3 goals for the Stars. On Thursday, the Stars traveled to Lebanon to face a tough team. The Stars were defeated 4-1. The team played their best game of the season, only allowing 4 goals on 20 shots. Zoey Trent came up big with 12 saves in goal. The defense of Kora Kistler, Brookalynne Isaac, Violet Hilger, Makayla Ward, and Charley Daizy played a very strong second half, holding the Tigers scoreless. Tania Cruz- Vazquez scored the lone goal for the Stars. The team will play next on Wednesday at 5:30 pm as they travel to North Putnam.
