The Stars put up a tremendous fight against the tough Danville Warriors in a thrilling three-set match. The first set was a nail-biter, with both teams battling point-for-point. Our girls showed grit and determination, ultimately pulling through with a 25-23 victory to take the first set! In the second set, the Warriors capitalized on our mistakes, and the Stars’ energy began to dip. Despite our best efforts, Danville took advantage and secured the second set with a 14-25 win. The third set was truly anyone’s game. The score stayed close the entire way, with both teams showing strong offense and defense. In the end, the Warriors edged us out, 15-12, claiming the match — but not without a serious challenge from our Stars! ⭐ Player of the Game: Quinn Cunningham ⭐ Quinn shined bright on the court and showed exactly why she earned her starting spot as an outside hitter. Adjusting to a new role is never easy, but Quinn did it with confidence and grace. She led the team in aces (3) and kills (5), played smart, communicated clearly, and brought consistent positive energy. She covered her teammates like a pro — no balls dropped on her watch! Well done, Quinn! 👏 Honorable Mention: Emery Clements stepped into the right-side hitter role and adjusted like a natural. She tallied several key kills and even went on a serving streak that fired the team up! Brooklyn Tatman was clutch in the back row, making some big-time digs and finishing the last 4 points of the first set with calm, confident serving. Jade Hobson anchored the defense, reading hits beautifully and working hard to keep the ball alive. Her ability to get the ball to target gave our hitters the chances they needed! Although we didn’t come out with the win, every game we’re seeing growth in each player and stronger chemistry as a team. It’s clear that the work we’re putting in during practice is showing up on the court! We’re excited to see what the Stars bring this Saturday at the Early Bird Tournament — and we’re aiming to bring home some hardware!
