Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone boys' tennis team defeated the Lebanon Tigers Thursday evening by a score of 4-1. The Stars were led by Jon Rutherford, who earned his 50th singles win in his varsity career. Logan Cripe, Owen Oakley/Easton Nance, and Burke Cavins/Zac Weesies earned the other wins for the Stars. Western Boone improves to 11-1 as they start the second half of their season. The JV Stars picked up their 7th win on the season by defeating Lebanon 4-0. Winning for the Stars were Sam Scott, Blaine Ballentine, Dillon Maurath, and Tristyn Faulk/Reese Young. The Stars return to MAC action Tuesday when they will travel to North Montgomery to face the Chargers for a 5:00 PM start.
