Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone varsity girls’ soccer team, coming off a tough Saturday PK shootout loss at conference opponent North Montgomery travelled to Sheridan on Wednesday night to battle the #6 ranked class 1A Sheridan Blackhawks. The Stars surrendered a goal early in the contest and then a wind-aided goal later in the half to go into halftime down 2-0. The game remained competitive throughout and ended at 3-0. The Stars had many strong performances on the field including defensively from seniors Kirstin McCormick and Emma Hosfield, in the mid-field from senior captains Ellie Whiteley and Lindsey Steimel and in the attacking end from River Roys (who was looking to build on her prior game goal against North Montgomery). WeBo returns to play on Tuesday, 9/8/26 when they meet up against Lebanon for both varsity and JV games.
