The Stars hosted the Danville Warriors on one of the more beautiful August evenings you could ask for. The Stars came out victorious against their former conference foes 4-1. Logan Cripe (3S), Owen Oakley/Easton Nance (1D), and Burke Cavins/Zach Weesies (2D) all came out victorious in straight sets. The most impressive win of the night came from Jon Rutherford (1S) as he defeated last year’s SAC conference champ Jake Waits 7-6, 6-1. The Stars are now 4-0 and start their MAC play tomorrow night at Southmont. The JV Stars improved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. Sam Scott went 1-1 at singles and the doubles teams of Tristyn Faulk/Reese Young and Blaine Ballentine/Dillon Maurath earned wins.
