Girls wrap up track season at Sectional #18

The Girls IHSAA Sectional #18 Track & Field Championships were a two-day event due to inclement weather. Beginning on Tuesday with running events, we were able to get through 7 events before the storms rolled through. On day one, the 4x800m Relay team started off the meet scoring 3 points for the Stars taking 6th place. Then, Lily Shirley qualified for the finals in the 100m Dash where she took 8th place and scored a point in the finals. The 4x100m Relay team earned 7th place and 2 more points in a close contested race. On day two of the competition, we were able to get through the last 4 running events where Charlotte Stucky took 8th place in the 3200m scoring a point for the team. In the throwing events, Janelle Gearheart and Jaylee Dickerson had solid performances but fell just short of the finals.
