Lady Stars overwhelm Hotdogs in softball double header

The Western Boone Lady Stars took the field last night to take on conference foe Frankfort Hotdogs in a weather force double header with one goal to stay atop Sagamore Conference Standings. After 2, 5 inning 13-0 wins the Stars were able to do just that and improve their overall record to 15-4 and 11-1 in Sagamore conference play. In game one Ally Lewis got the start allowed 0 runs on 1 hit, 1 walk and striking out 10. The Stars were lead at the plate by Addi Lee and Raina Lutz going 3 for 4 and 2 for 3 respectively in the contest. In game two Mickey Burns got the start allowing 0 runs on 1 hit, no walks and striking out 8. The Stars were led at the plate by Kenzlei Mathews, 3 for 4, Morganne Grant 3 for 3, Addi Lee 3 for 3 and and Payten Blankenship 2 for 4 with 4 RBIs. The Stars will be back in Action tonight as they host Golder Eagles of Guerin Catholic at 5:30pm.
