Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Stars Track & Field team hosted our second dual meet of the season against Greencastle. This meet was our senior night to recognize all 21 of our fantastic seniors and all their accomplishments throughout their great track & field careers. Lily Shirley, a notable senior, excelled in last night’s meet with three 1st place finishes in the 100m dash, 200m dash, and the 4x100m relay. For the boys Marcus Fortner placed 3rd in the 100m dash, and Darnell Jones placed 2nd in the Long Jump. Along with Fortner and Jones, Edoardo Carapia placed 2nd in both the 1600m run and 3200m run, and Mason Amich also doubled up and placed 2nd in both Shot Put and Discus. We are so proud of our seniors for all of their hard work and dedication to the Track & Field program and can’t wait to see what they do the rest of the season!
