Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Lady Stars traveled to West Lafayette to take on the Lady Eagles of Faith Christian and picked up a 5 inning 17-3 win last night. Ally Lewis got the start going 4 innings allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits and striking out 8 with Raina Lutz coming in to strike out the side in the bottom of the 5th and close out the game. The Stars offense was potent scoring 17 on 16 hits including a 3rd inning 3 RBI, Home Run by Lutz. Lutz along with Morganne Grant and Mickey Burns had 3 hits in the contest with Burns collecting 4 RBIs. Mickayla Naanos and Dottie Wilson also produced 2 hits each during the contest. The Stars earned a couple of days rest before beginning their final season of Sagamore conference play by facing the Lady Chargers next Tuesday, April 15th at North Montgomery with 5:30pm.
