The Western Boone Lady Stars softball team opened their season last night by traveling to Noblesville to face off against the Lady Millers. Ally Lewis got the start going 6 innings allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, 4 walks with 3 strikeouts. The Stars took the lead in the top of the 2nd on a Kirstin McCormick RBI single. After the Millers tied the score, the Stars again took the lead in the top of the 4th on a Kenzlei Mathews hard ground ball that got past the first baseman. The Stars continued to battle but came up short 4-3 to a tough Lady Millers team. Addi Lee, Dottie Wilson, Lewis, and McCormick all recorded a hit in the contest. The Lady Stars home opener is scheduled for Monday April 7th against the Lady Patriots of Seeger with a 5:30pm start. Come out and support your Lady Stars!
