Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

JV: The Stars went on the road to finish their season and beat Fountain Central by the score of 43-30. Solid team defense was the difference in this contest and the team controlled the game most of the way. The Stars finished with a winning record this season at 11-9. Beau Sawyer led the team with 14 points. Burke Cavins finished with 12 points. Levi Adkins chipped in 6 points and Sam Rausch had a couple huge buckets in the 4th quarter and finished with 4 points. Varsity: The Stars also defeated the Mustangs by the score of 52-35. Another great defensive effort by the team, holding FC to 17 points in the first half and only giving up 2 points in the 4th quarter. The Stars finished the regular season at 8-14 overall and 6-5 in the last 11 games. Quinn Westerfeld had a huge first half scoring 11 of his 16 points in the half. Marcus Fortner had a big 3rd quarter and finished with 16 points. Gavin Hawkins had 8 points. Beau Sawyer played some big minutes off the bench and hit a big 3 from the corner in the 4th quarter. The Stars will play Delphi next Tuesday at North Montgomery in first round of sectional play.
