Boys Swim team defeats Fountain Central 120-43

The Western Boone boys swim team hosted their final home meet of the season Monday evening against Fountain Central. The boys came out strong sweeping 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the 200 Medley Relay. Chase Collier won 1st place in the 200 Free and Jacob Schrier took 3rd. In the 200 IM Isaac Threlkeld took 1st and Alex Crockett got 3rd. In the 50 Free Jude Balke won 1st place, Zach Connors took 2nd, and Ethan Barnett got 4th. Xander Rouse came in 2nd place in Diving with a score of 184.60. Isaac Threlkeld won 1st place in the 100 Butterfly, Malachi Catterson took 3rd, and Aiden Smith got 4th. In the 100 Free Chase Collier swam for 1st place, Liam Whitely got 3rd and a new season best time of 1:01.53, Artie Milliser got 4th, and Eli Bishop had a new season best time of 1:02.76. Alex Crockett won 1st place in the 500 Free, and Ben Twitty got 2nd place and a new season best time of 7:24.14. The boys won 1st, 3rd, and 4th in the 200 Free Relay, and in the 100 Backstroke Jacob Schrier got 2nd place and Artie Milliser got 3rd. Jude Balke won 1st place in the 100 Breaststroke, Liam Whitely got 3rd, and Ben Twitty came in 4th. The boys won 1st place in the 400 Free Relay with the team of Edoardo Carapia, Jude Balke, Ethan Barnett, and Chase Collier, and 2nd place with the team of Alex Crockett, Jonny Rutherford, Eli Bishop, and Zach Connors. The boys finished the evening with a big win over Fountain Central and a final score of 120 to 43. The boys will swim again next week at Crawfordsville for Sectional Prelims.
