The Western Boone Lady Stars had an unforgettable game Friday night against the North Montgomery Chargers in Thorntown, Indiana. Before diving into the game stats, we want to extend a huge thank you to the athletic department and everyone who helped make the night special. A special congratulations goes out to our seniors—Rebecca Keys, Olivia Reagan, and Amaya Westerfield—for an incredible four years with the Lady Stars program! The Lady Stars came out strong, opening the game with a 5-0 run. Amaya Westerfield set the tone early, sinking a three-pointer to put WEBO on the board. By the end of the first quarter, the Stars held a narrow 8-6 lead. In the second quarter, Jaylee Dickerson knocked down a quick three to keep the momentum going. The Stars outscored the Chargers 12-9, heading into halftime with a 20-15 advantage. The third quarter was all about defense. The Lady Stars dominated the boards and held the Chargers to just four points in the quarter, making it tough for them to gain any ground. But North Montgomery wasn’t ready to give up. The Chargers fought hard in the fourth quarter, making a late push, but the Lady Stars refused to let their Senior Night slip away. In the end, WEBO sealed the deal with a 37-34 victory! Ally Lewis led the team with 10 points, while Amaya Westerfield and Olivia Reagan each contributed 8 points to help secure the win. The Lady Stars advance to the playoffs, where they’ll face the winner of the North Montgomery Chargers vs. Delphi Community Oracles matchup. Let’s keep the energy up—Go Lady Stars!
