The Lady Stars hit the court on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. to face off against the Clinton Prairie Gophers, and they came ready to play! Right from the start, the Stars applied intense pressure, causing the Gophers to scramble. The first points of the game came from Emerson Gott, who drove in for a smooth layup. This game was nothing short of a roller coaster ride. The Lady Stars finished the first quarter with a narrow 12-11 lead. However, by halftime, the Gophers had edged ahead, leading 24-22. Despite the pressure, the Stars stayed composed, committing only six turnovers in the first half while successfully handling Clinton Prairie’s tough man-to-man defense. The Stars made it clear they weren’t backing down. Olivia Regan and Ally Lewis dominated on the boards, grabbing crucial rebounds to keep the team in the fight. In a pivotal moment during the third quarter, Regan sank a huge three-pointer from the top of the key, swinging the momentum back in the Stars’ favor. Ally Lewis was unstoppable, scoring an impressive 19 points to lead the team to an exciting 47-45 victory. The Lady Stars are back in action this Tuesday against Crawfordsville—don’t miss it!
