The 7th boys secured their 10th win on the season, ending with an overall record of 10-4. They were determined from the beginning of the game to get that 10th win. Even though we didn't press any, we got a ton of early steals leading to fastbreak layups. The final score was 40-15. This was done in the absence of our starting point guard as we had a couple guys step up big for us! Jackson Linton had several first half steals for us with Harrison stepping into the point guard role. The b-team only had an 8-minute running clock game; but they played hard and with great effort, diving on the floor when they got the chance. They ended up losing with a score of 2-6. Both teams did a lot of diving after loose balls during the games which was great to see. Stats: Harrison 17 pts, Linton 14 pts, Fields 6 pts, Demaree 2 pts, Meyer 1 pt. The 8th grade Stars travelled to North Putnam to finish the season against the Cougars. The Stars got on the score board quickly and never looked back. Solid defense, moving ball, handling press, getting on the floor for loose ball and physical play. The Stars played team game to get win 51-42. Boddicker led Stars with 33, Young 8, Mitchell 6, Baird and Eastwood 2. Finishing season with a 6-9 record. The B Team also finished season with an abbreviated timed game. The Stars fell 0-11, but that doesn't measure this group. They worked hard in practice, played hard every game, and supported each other. They ended season with a 4-2 record.
