The Lady Stars started off the week matching up against Faith Christian, coming away with an awesome 58-55 team win. The Stars came out with intensity and grit, hoping to turn things around after the losses the past few games. From the beginning, the Lady Stars came ready to play, being aggressive on both ends of the court and playing composed. On the offensive end, the Stars did a great job of moving the basketball and finding their teammates, working together to create quality possessions. Defensively, the team communicated well and made some big stops, creating positive momentum on the other end of the court. The Stars went into halftime tied 27-27. The Lady Stars stuck to the game plan in the second half, continuing to value their offensive possessions and maintain their defensive aggressiveness. The game came down to the wire, with the Stars tied and having one final offensive possession to try to get the win. The Lady Stars capitalized on their final opportunity, with Ally Lewis making a pass to Ila Stokes who knocked down a three and pushed the Stars to victory. A lot of players stepped up in various ways throughout the game, leading to the great team win. The Lady Stars were led in scoring by Ally Lewis with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Olivia Reagan with 10 points, and Ila Stokes and Emmerson Gott with 9 each. The Stars are back in action on Friday night against conference rival Lebanon. Go Lady Stars!
