WeBo Swimmers host Tri West and North Montgomery

The Western Boone swim team hosted North Montgomery and Tri-West Thursday evening for a triple dual meet competition. The girls were off to a strong start in the first event with the team of Joan Gearheart, Eisley Whitely, Jenna Twitty, and Kyndal Dickerson taking 2nd place (2:15.88) in the Medley Relay. Rebecca Rustin swam for a new Personal Record in the 200 yard Free for 2nd place (2:27.82) and a new Personal Record in the 500 yard Free (6:47.89). Jenna Twitty swam strong to get 2nd place in the 200 IM (2:38.87) and a new Personal Record in the 100 yard Free (1:01.80). Kate Higer brought home a new Season Best time of 33.29 in the 50 yard Free and Rylee Pelley fought for a new Season Best time of 7:00.92 in the 500 yard Free. In the 100 yard Backstroke Jaili Torp swam for a new Season Best time of 1:24.23, and Adalyn Sartin got a new Personal Record (1:46.49). Eisley Whitely finished 2nd in the 100 yard Breaststroke (1:29.33) with a new Season Best time, and the girls wrapped up the night with a 2nd place finish in the 400 Free Relay. The girls finished behind North Montgomery but came out the winner over Tri-West. The boys team started their evening by sweeping 2nd and 3rd place in the 200 Medley Relay. Henry Biggs dropped over 10 seconds for a new Personal Record in the 200 yard Free (2:12.82), and in the 50 yard Free Chase Collier flew to the finish for a new Personal Record (24.84, 2nd place) and Ethan Barnett also got a new Personal Record with a time of 25.21 in the 50 Free. Xander Rouse showed everyone who was boss on the diving board winning 1st place in diving with a score of 169.35. Isaac Threlkeld finished 1st (59.25) in the 100 yard Butterfly, and Malachi Catterson got a new Season Best time for 3rd place (1:10.60). In the 500 yard Free Jacob Norman finished in 1st place (5:12.21), and Alex Crockett brought home a new Personal Record (6:02.82). The team of Isaac Threlkeld, Brayden Schick, Jude Balke, and Zach Connors finished in 1st place in the 200 Free Relay, and Artie Milliser fought for a new Personal Record in the 100 yard Backstroke with a time of 1:15.70 and 3rd place. The boys finished the night with a 2nd place finish in the 400 Free Relay. The boys team took a loss to Tri-West, but brought home the win over North Montgomery. The swim teams will compete again next Monday evening at McCutcheon.
