The Stars hosted Speedway last night and contained a decent lead throughout the game. The Stars led 23-14 at halftime and finished strong by beating the Sparkplugs 24-10 in the 4th quarter. Final score was 60-42 and our team defense and physicality was the difference in the game. Great execution on both ends of the floor and a great individual performance from Quinn Westerfeld! Quinn finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Tristyn Faulk had 12 points and 8 rebounds. Gavin Hawkins finished with 10 points and Eli Mitchell was a huge spark off the bench, he finished with 4 points. Stars are on the road against Tri-West this Friday. Our JV team had a great comeback in the 4th quarter to get their first win of the season against Speedway! The Stars used full court pressure in the final four minutes to go on a 14-1 run to win the game by the score of 41-39. Beau Sawyer led the Stars with 16 points. Carson Nicley had 9 points, Owen Oakley had 7 points, and Burke Cavins chipped in 6 points. Solid balance of scoring and team defense won this game. Next game is Thursday at home against Tri-West.
