The Lady Stars matched up against the Covington Trojans for the first game of the season, coming away with a big 54-23 win. The Stars came out strong, playing aggressive defense and getting great looks at the basket early. The team went into halftime holding the Trojans to only thirteen points, hoping to keep the defensive intensity alive in the second half. The Stars kept up the aggressiveness in the second half, holding Covington to a total of 23 points. The team played with a lot of grit and determination on both ends of the court throughout the game, leading to the great team win. The Stars were led in scoring by Ila Stokes with 17 points, followed by Ally Lewis with 14 points. The Lady Stars are back in action in the first round of the Sugar Creek Classic on Friday against Southmont. Go Stars! The JV Lady Stars travelled to Covington Tuesday evening to compete in their first game of the season.  Feeding off of this excitement, Webo came out with high energy and put up 21 points to their opponents 3 in the first half.  The Stars offense remained on cruise control in the second half, and despite Covington adding 16 more points they ultimately fell 41 to 19.  All members of this young Webo team scored in this season opener and showed amazing potential for the season to come.
