The 8th grade Stars hosted the Tri-West Bruins in Main Gym doubleheader game. The Stars slow start and Bruin press and size put the Stars on their heels early. The Stars were able to cut into lead and cut it to 6 then the Bruins went on a scoring run before the halftime break down 13. The second half the Stars played better but could not close the gap and fell 54-34. Boddicker led Stars with 16, Young 6, Eastwood 4, Baird and Jackson 3 and Keyes 2. Although the 7th grade Stars fought hard, it wasn't enough to beat a very talented Tri-West team. The team had balanced scoring with Potter having 9 pts 1 reb, Fields 3 pts 12 rebs, Linton 3 pts 3 rebs, Harrison 2 pts 3 rebs, Devol 2 pts, Demaree with 2 rebs and Gallimore with 1 reb. We are back at it next Tuesday at Frankfort. In 6th Grade Action - North Montgomery brought a really good team and it was high pace and hard fought contests all night. The 6th graders won the A-Game 37-19. We were led by our relentless defense especially from our guards out front tonight. Offensively we were led by Wyatt Redman with 15 and Bryson Potter with 12. I was really happy with the defensive effort tonight. B-game went much the same. We were strong defensively and gave up 0 points in the second half to win the game 19-10. We were led offensively by Brady Edwards with 13 points.
