Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The 8th grade Stars opened the season on the road at Cascade Cadets. The Stars went to work on defense and forced turnovers and empty trips for the Cadets. Offense moved the ball and found the open cutter to bring home a win 37-12. The Stars were led by Tim Boddicker 18, Owen Young 8, Colton Mitchell 4, Carson Richardson 3, Rowan Eastwood and Kane Jackson 2. Solid team effort by starters and bench. Stars travel Thursday for A and B team games at South Mount. 7th A-team at Cascade. We had a great start to the game, leading 9-2 but couldn't hold the lead as we lost 35-40. It was a close game the whole way through. Jackson Potter scored 10 points in the first quarter, ending the game with 16 points. Other scorers included Lukas Harrison with 10, Tate Fields with 6, Hayden Demaree with 2, and Ryder Devol with 1. We are back in action at home this Thursday.
