The boys 7th grade basketball team traveled to Zionsville West Middle School last night to take on the Eagles. The Stars came out strong and matched the intensity of the Eagles for a back and forth entertaining first half. The stars went into half down 3. The second half the Eagles pulled away hitting several 3’s to gain a double digit lead that the Stars couldn’t come back from. The Stars lose 47-29. Scoring for the Stars, Levi Adkins 9, Carter Eckert 7, Dane Allen 6, Carson Nicley 5, Sam Rausch 2. The 8th grade Stars travelled to play the Zionsville West Eagles on Thursday night. The Eagles were long, quick and the Stars struggled to handle their press early. The Stars came out and played a strong 3rd quarter and played the Eagles basket for basket, but didn't have enough to catch up. The Eagles took over the 4th quarter and the Stars fell 53-34. Quinn Westerfeld and Owen Oakley both had 12, Burke Cavins had 7 and Nate Thompson had 3. The Stars will host Danville after Christmas break on 1/9/23.
