The Stars hosted Tri-West on Thursday night in a C-Team and JV Double header. The C-team started off hot and led 18-12 at halftime but were outscored the second half and defeated 38-22. Scoring for WEBO was Nick Hurliman with 6, Luke Adkins with 6, and Brennan Kopriva and Julian McClaine both with 5. The JV team led the entire way and held on to defeat the Bruins by a final score of 35-34. A gritty defensive second half helped the Stars hang on. Scoring for WEBO was Marcus Fortner and Carter Hanna with 11 apiece, Eli Mitchell with 6, Jackson Grimes with 5 and Gavin Hawkins with 2. The JV Lady Stars hosted Tri-West Thursday evening to their toughest challenge this season. Despite starting the game knocking down a couple of quick threes, the Stars struggled throughout the rest of the game to get to the rim while the Bruins connected almost effortlessly. The first half ended 11 to 31 and that gap continued to a final score of 29 to 57. There was never a lack of effort by any member of this team and the Stars did not quit until the final buzzer.
