Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Boys Tennis Team attempted to avenge an early season loss to the Lebanon Tigers in the sectional semifinals Wednesday night. Their efforts fell short by falling to the Tigers 2-3. The Stars improved from earlier in the season where they lost 1-4. Gavin Hawkins and Jacob Collins picked up straight set wins for the Stars. Collins bounced back from an early season loss to the Tigers' Thomas Devlin. With Hawkins' win at 1S, he advances to the individual state tournament. Gavin will participate in the individual sectional at Lebanon next week. The Stars finish the season 11-9 and a 3rd place finish in conference. A big shout out to our four seniors, Ethan Barnett, Gavin Hawkins, Eli Mitchell, and Gannon Wilson for their high school careers.
