The Western Boone Junior High Boys soccer team came away with a victory last evening against North Montgomery 4-2. The Webo Junior High Boys now have 3 wins on the season. Scoring ALL 4 GOALS for Webo was Jackson Linton. "When you see that Jackson scored 4 goals, a person might think that he's not passing the ball but that's not true at all. Jackson is a great passer and gave 4 other players great opportunities for shots on goal," said Coach Walker. Hernan Trincado and Timothy Walker combined for 5 saves on the night. Evan Washburn and Joseph Boddicker never looked tired the entire game. Fritz Heine moved up to the midfield position for a few minutes. The Maison Lutz, Fritz, Wyatt Paris, Jackson combination proved to be successful for the evening. The stars ended the game with no subs due to 3 injuries. Their opponent had 31 players on their roster which speaks to the toughness of Western Boone. The stars will face Crawfordsville Thursday evening at Crawfordsville. The Lady Stars had a hard-fought game tonight that ended in a 0-3 loss. They started slow, but quickly were able to pick up the pace, and get in the game. The defense contained North Montgomery to receive only two goals at half. Our left side of the field was working well together to get the ball forward. Kenzie D. did a great job hustling to the ball and connecting passes on the field. Rachel R. had several amazing saves in goal and did a great job encouraging and leading her teammates! We are continually improving!!
