The Stars fell to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference. WeBo came into the game coming off playing some of their best games of the year, but couldn't find the breakthrough against the Tigers. "There are always positives to take away from the game," Western Boone head coach Shane Conner said. "We played hard and we give it our all every time we're on the pitch. We just have to bring it all together. We have to practice a little bit more, play a little bit harder and we have to play more in the off-season." Western Boone tightened its defense up later in the first half as Trey Fuston made several nice saves for the Stars to limit the Tigers damage. "We told the guys at halftime that it was their game," Conner said. "We had done our job out there coaching, and now they have to bring it together. They did a better job of that. This season, we have been a second half team, but we gave up those early goals and couldn't come back." Western Boone travels to Danville on Monday.
