4/26 Recap vs Speedway The Western Boone Lady Stars softball team travel to Speedway Friday evening to take on the Lady Sparkplugs. The Stars got started early putting up 1 run in each of the first two innings and adding 6 more of the next 5 innings to collect the win 8-0. Gabby Lewis got the start in the circle and pitched a complete game allowing no runs on 7 hits, 2 walks and striking out 7. The stars were lead at the plate by Lewis and Mickey Burns both going 3 for 4 in the contest while Emma Shirley and Kenzlei Mathews both added 2 this of their own. The Stars improved their record to 10-4 on the season and look to get back in action Monday April 29th as the host the Gophers of Clinton Prairie with a 5:30pm start.
