The varsity girls tennis team picked up a great 3-2 win versus Rossville Wednesday. 1S Jones came back from a 2-5 second set deficit to win in straight sets, and 2D Shepherd/Smith won in straight sets. The match came down to the 1D team of Ransom/Adams who won a third set, three-hour match to lock in the final point for the Stars and put the team at 2-2 on the season. The Stars mixed up their JV lineup so new girls could see court time and played well but lost a close match 2-3. Ward and Harlos both won their singles matches for the team. The varsity team will host their annual tournament this Saturday at 9am. They will be joined by Lafayette Central Catholic, Speedway, and Benton Central.
