Ally Lewis sets single game strike out record in win over Bulldogs

The Western Boone Lady Stars softball team hosted the Clinton Central Lady Bulldogs this Monday Afternoon with Ally Lewis getting the start in the circle. The right hander went 7 innings in dominant fashion while setting a new school single game strike out record by setting down 16. Lewis allowed 1 hit. 0 runs while giving up 3 walks. The Stars offense got going early scoring 3 in the first, 2 in the second and 2 more in the fourth inning to end the evening with a 7-0 win. The Stars were led at the plate by Gabby Lewis with 2 hits and 2 RBIs, Emma Shirley 1 hit and scoring 3 runs and Mickey Burns adding 2 hits of her own in the contest. The Stars are back in action tomorrow as they Host the Lebanon Tigers under the lights with a 7pm start. Come out and support your Stars in this important conference match up.
