The Western Boone Lady Stars softball team took advantage of the great weather Saturday April 13th and traveled to Brownsburg to make up a game against the Lady Bulldogs. Gabby Lewis got the start and the right hander pitched well allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits, striking out 2 and walking none. The Stars threatened in the top of the 3rd with back-to-back singles by Kenzlei Mathews and Kirstin McCormick. Dottie Wilson then advanced the runners to 2nd and 3rd on a textbook sacrifice bunt, but the offense stalled there stranding two on the bases. The stars could only muster one more hit in the contest by Mickey Burns in the top of the 7th, ultimately falling 4-0 to a tough Brownsburg team. The Stars have a full week with 6 games in the next 6 days starting with a 5:30 game on Monday, April 15th when they host the Lady Bulldogs of Clinton Central.
