The Lady Stars faced conference rival North Montgomery in their final game of the regular season, falling short of the Chargers and ending with a 30-51 loss. The Stars started out playing aggressive defense but struggled to slow North Montgomery's post players from getting multiple opportunities at the basket as the game progressed. On the offensive end, the Lady Stars had some good looks at the basket but couldn't capitalize on those possessions or hit their shots. The team went into halftime down 8-21, hoping to turn the course of the game around. Unfortunately, the second half was a lot more of the same, leading to the loss in the end. The Lady Stars were led in scoring by Olivia Reagan with 11 points, followed by Ally Lewis with 9. The Stars are back in action in the first round of sectionals as they take on Lebanon on Wednesday at 6pm. Go Stars! The JV Girls Basketball team travelled to North Montgomery Friday evening to play their last game of the season, which was another short two quarter game. The first quarter ended tied 6 to 6 but Webo's offense stepped up in the second quarter to score 14 and held the Chargers to only 3 points for a 20 to 9 win. This brings their season to 9 wins and 7 losses. Unfortunately 5 of those 16 games were 2 quarter games and they also had both of their tournaments cancelled this season. Despite all this, the JV Stars maintained a positive attitude, remained focused for the entire season and played every quarter with great hustle and heart.
