The Stars opened the first night of SAC Tourney against the South Montgomery Mounties. This is a rematch of a back and forth game to open the season. Once again it was close all night long. It was physical game on the inside. Sam Rausch had a big game on the boards with some big offensive rebounds and key defensive rebounds. The game ended in a tie at the end of regulation on a tight call on a missed shot by South Mont. The Stars held their poise and went on and hit some their free throws to get the win 58-53 to advance to Saturday. Beau Sawyer led the Stars with 22, Levi Adkins 19, Carson Nicley 9, Dane Allen and Carter Eckert each 3 and Sam Rausch 2. Stars will play Saturday morning, the winning of Lebanon and Frankfort.
