JH teams defeat Frankfort in boys basketball

The 7th grade boys basketball team came away with a 33-16 win over Frankfort. Defense led the way as the team had 16 steals on the night. Offensively the Stars shared the ball and racked up 10 assists and just 5 turn-overs. Tim Boddicker - 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists Gage Wilson - 9 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist Noah Baird - 2 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists The B-Team also walked away victorious and won 34 - 6. The team recorded 30 rebounds, 16 steals and 7 assists. Game leaders: Caleb Keyes 7 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist Anothy Snoke - 5 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 assist The 8th grade Stars travelled to Frankfort to take on the Hotdogs. The A Team set the tone early and took control of the game right from the tip. The defense forced turnovers and locked down and went into the half 33-2. The Stars came out the second half and ran some clock and got the road win 44-9. The Stars were led by Levi Atkins with 16, Beau Sawyer 12 and Carson Nicely 8. Sam Rausch (4 points), Dane Allen (2 points) and Carter Eckert (2 points) led the defensive effort with hustle and pressure all night . The Stars B Team followed suit against the Hotdogs. Played a running clock game and controlled the game and got a road win 21-5. Brayden Henson led the Stars with 9, Micah Farris and Destin Mercado each had 6. The 8th grade Stars will travel to Speedway on Thursday to play the Sparkplugs.
