The Stars finished MAC Conference play last night with a four set victory over the Chargers! Finishing 4th in the Monon Athletic Conference! It was a complete team effort and a great example of what can happen when everyone contributes, competes, and trusts one another. The offense was setting the tone last night. Ady Nicley led the way with 9 kills, while Kathryn Gott and Nevaeh Copeland each added 8 kills of their own at the net. Kathryn had an outstanding .500 hitting percentage, an incredible accomplishment and great reflection of her efficiency offensively. Alexa Massingill added 8 kills, while Molly Rausch contributed 7, giving the Stars a balanced attack throughout the night. Setting up the offense was Ella Oakley and Kenleigh Raby, who combined for 39 assists - a season high for the team! Their ability to distribute the ball and keep offense moving made a huge impact throughout the match. The Stars brought the energy and determination on defense. Reagan Harlos and Ella Oakley recorded 10 digs, while Ady Nicley and Kenleigh Raby collected 12 digs apiece. The serving line was another bright spot, with Ady, Kathryn, Kenleigh, Molly, Olivia, and Ella all recording aces. It was especially exciting to see Zoie Venus and Cora Reagan get opportunities on the court and make their contributions to the victory. This win truly belonged to the entire roster, and it was great to see everyone play a part in closing out the conference And a HUGE congratulations to our JV Stars — MONON ATHLETIC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS! 🏆 What an accomplishment for this group! Finishing the conference season with a championship is something these girls should be incredibly proud of.
