Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Last night, the Stars took on Frankfort and finished the night in just two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-18! We will see Frankfort again Saturday morning in the first round of the conference tournament, so what a way to set the tone heading into tournament play! The girls came out strong and never let up throughout the entire match! After a long few days away, Lexi Wilt was BACK and ready to go! Lexi had 6 incredible serves on the night, along with 7 hits, 4 of which were kills! Not only did Lexi make an impact offensively, but she and Eliza Baird also got the opportunity to play some defense tonight, and they showed up BIG with some great passes! These girls never fail to impress me with just how versatile they are. I truly feel like I can put any of my girls anywhere on the court, and they will find a way to thrive in that position! Emery Clements also stepped in as setter for a few points in the first set and delivered, assisting on two great kills for the Stars! Our back row had a SMART game tonight, with only one dropped ball for the entire night! The girls stayed alert, communicated, and were ready to make plays, contributing so much to the points we put on the board. I am SO proud of these girls and the way they finished out the regular season! They continue to impress me game after game, and I am so blessed to get to coach such a versatile, hardworking group of young ladies. Now it’s time to put in some work, prepare, and get ready for the conference tournament Saturday morning! We’re coming in ready! 7th Grade In a tough match against Frankfort, Western Boone 7th grade volleyball fell in two sets, 21–25 and 15–25. Saylor Princell put up a strong all-around performance with 14 hits, 4 kills, and a block. Piper Princell added 5 kills, while Madison Melton contributed 7 hits. Reagan Byers chipped in with 4 hits, and Amelia Stambro had 6 serves, including 5 aces. Although the team showed determination, they couldn’t quite close the big points. Still, there were bright spots that give the team something to build on moving forward. And with a tournament coming up this Saturday, the team is feeling prepared and ready.
