Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

The Western Boone Stars welcomed the Crawfordsville Athenians to Western Boone tennis courts on a beautiful late summer evening for senior night! The stars celebrated Burke Cavens, Logan Cripe, Dylan Maurath, Owen Oakley, Zac Weesies, and Reese Young. Their contributions to the Western Boone tennis program will be missed in the future. The Stars dropped the match with a final score of 1-4. The lone win on the evening came from senior Owen Oakley who played an almost 3 hour match before defeating Kent Calvert by a score of 7-6 (3), 6-7 (2), 13-11. The JV stars lost to the Athenians, 0-4. Senior Dillon Maurath and Lane Merrill put up the best fight for the JV. The Stars are now 10–2 on the season and they will complete conference play Monday when they travel to Greencastle to take on the Tiger Cubs.
