The Stars got off to a slow start, finding ourselves trailing behind early. However, the girls continued to play hard, picked up momentum, and fought their way back to take the first set 25-18! The Stars came back into the second set awake and ready to play, jumping out to a strong lead from the start and never looking back. We finished the night with a 25-14 victory to take the match in two! From start to finish, the Stars were firing on all cylinders! Our serves were outstanding, back-row coverage was incredible, and our aggression at the net was TOP TIER! Lexi Wilt had an INSANE night at the net! She shut down play after play for the Bruins with big blocks and immediately putting the ball right back over the net. Lexi led the team with 8 hits, 6 of which were kills, and added 1 block & 2 dumps on the night! Her smart ball placement was a huge difference-maker, as she consistently saw the gaps in Tri-West’s defense and placed the ball exactly where it needed to go, adding quick points to the scoreboard and keeping their defense on their toes! And those SERVES! 🔥 The Stars put 38 serves over and in, with 18 of those being aces and easy points for our team! That kind of serving pressure made a huge impact throughout the match. This team continues to get better and better together with every game, and I am SO excited to see what they can accomplish throughout the rest of this season! I couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of these girls. Keep working, keep fighting, and keep believing in each other! GO STARS! ⭐️
