Western Boone Jr. - Sr. High School

Our junior high girls took on North Putnam Tuesday night. They faced a much older and physically bigger team, but despite the size difference, our girls dominated on the field. Carly Denney (6th grade) continues to show incredible growth by confidently moving the ball and dribbling through defenders to create opportunities toward the goal. Nora Kinsler (5th grade) played with grit and passion, even battling through a big blow to the head and still finding the determination to take a shot on goal. That kind of heart and toughness was on full display tonight by many of our girls! We had more challenges defensively than we would have liked, but the girls never gave in or gave up. They encouraged one another, fought their way back from a score deficit, and kept pushing until the final whistle. Unfortunately, the game ended in a tough 3-4 loss from an unlucky miscommunication in the goalie box. Our goals were scored by Carly Denney (6th), Emmy Whiteley (7th), and Kora Kistler (8th). After a rough last week without games and having indoor practices because of the heat, we couldn't be more proud of how hard these girls competed tonight. They showed resilience, growth, and a whole lot of heart. We’ll be back Thursday evening for a home game against Southmont at 5:00pm.
