The Stars defeated Greencastle in a strong 2-set victory last night, taking the first set 25-17 and the second 25-14! It was a slower start for the Stars, allowing Greencastle to take an early lead by a few points in both sets. However, we knew we had what it took to defeat them, and the girls stayed composed, battled back, and ultimately pulled ahead to secure the win! 🔥 Sullie Smith had an AMAZING night for the Stars, leading the team with 4 aces while also contributing offensively with 2 back-row attacks & kills! The girls played an extremely strategic game, doing a great job of finding the open spots on the court and placing the ball where Greencastle simply couldn’t get to it. With only 2 missed serves on the entire night and very few dropped balls, the Stars cleaned things up quickly and played together as a TEAM! 💥 Eliza Baird also had an awesome night in the front row, playing aggressively at the net and contributing multiple aces and kills to the Stars’ offense! There are always a few minor tweaks to make, and we’ll be putting in some skill work in the gym to get ready for Danville on Thursday! Last year, we fell to Danville in a close 3-set battle, but this is a DIFFERENT Stars team. These girls have come a long way since last season, and I know they are ready to show just how much they’ve grown!
